How does my bot know what to say?

When you get started, you will train your bot by feeding it your website as well as a list of frequently asked questions and answers. You can add to the list of questions and answers at any time.

Separately, our AI automation engineers ensure that your bot understands its goals, such as qualifying and then booking an appointment or getting a lead to RSVP for a webinar.

These steps are much like training a human receptionist. It may not be perfect the first day, but it will get more and more reliable with each conversation and update to its training. The good news is that you never have to worry about your AI bot calling in sick or leaving your organization, so this is one-time training!

Can my whole team use the platform?

Yes! Unlike many other products, we don't charge by the user. Beyond the chatbot, MAITE empowers teams to view their relationship with a lead, including all conversations by leads, customers, team members, and bots, regardless of the channel.

Each user can integrate with their Google or Outlook emails and calendars.

How does appointment scheduling work?

MAITE supports individual, group (round robin / automatic distribution), and class/event calendars. The chatbot knows which calendar to use for booking, and ensures that an individual user's calendar is never double booked. Premium plan users can create various chatbots for different calendars.

What languages are supported?

MAITE bots can understand and reply in any of the 95 languages supported by Chat GPT, including English, Spanish, and French.

Does it send reminders?

Yes! MAITE will send reminders to leads AND internal users. You can determine frequency, but we generally recommend 24 hours, 1 hour, and 10 minutes before an appointment. This goes a long way in reducing no-shows.

How much does it cost?

Are there any other fees?

In addition to the monthly subscription fee, we do charge usage fees for text messaging, email, non-chatbot AI, and premium automations. These range by plan, but are less than one cent for email, 1-5 cents for text messages (US numbers), and 1-4 cents for non-chatbot AI and premium automations.

We also pass on phone carrier fees for your dedicated phone number and A2P registration. Registration is a one-time fee of about $23 and phone numbers generally range from $1-3/month.

The chatbot AI is included with the monthly subscription, as is messaging over Facebook, Instagram, and Google My Business via the chatbot or unified team inbox.

Can I cancel at any time?

Yes, we offer month to month plans that you can cancel at any time.

What onboarding and training do you offer?

In addition to video onboarding and support tools, we offer almost daily group onboarding and coaching. We also offer one on one onboarding with an AI automations specialist for Premium and Enterprise plans.

What support do you offer?

We are currently supporting customers 9AM-9PM ET, and will be moving to 24/7 technical support via live chat in the fall of 2023.

Is my data secure?

Of course, we take data security and privacy very seriously. MAITE does not host any product systems or data within its physical offices. MAITE outsources hosting of its product infrastructure to leading cloud infrastructure providers such as Google Cloud Platform Services and Amazon Web Services. Our product infrastructure resides in the United States. We place reliance on Google’s and AWS’s audited security and compliance programs for the efficacy of their physical, environmental, and infrastructure security controls.

Google provides a monthly uptime percentage to customers of at least 99.5%. You can find more information about the controls, processes, and compliance measures implemented by Google on their publicly available Compliance Resource Center.

AWS guarantees between 99.95% and 100% service reliability, ensuring redundancy to all power, network, and HVAC services. The business continuity and disaster recovery plans for the AWS services have been independently validated as part of their SOC 2 Type 2 report and ISO 27001 certification. AWS’s compliance documentation and audit reports are publicly available at the AWS Cloud Compliance Page and the AWS Artifacts Portal.

In addition, all of our staff are required to undergo regular security and privacy trainings and audits.

Is your service TCPA compliant?

We offer all the features you need to maintain TCPA compliance, but that is ultimately your responsibility. TCPA stands for the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, a U.S. federal government law that protects consumer privacy. It dictates how you are allowed to communicate with the public via phone or text. The key rules are that you must obtain consent, you must disclose how you will be communicating, you must give them a way to opt out, and you must honor their wishes if they opt out of being contacted.
